Arkussiini Liito
The Arkussiini dress in the Liito pattern is made of viscose crepe. The dress has a concealed button list with press buttons in the front and a bell-shaped hem. The sleeves have slits and buttons at the cuffs. Printed fabrics are random cut in order to avoid as much unnecessary waste as possible, making each product a unique piece.
Composed of flower and seed shapes torn from paper, the Liito (glide) pattern was inspired by Marimekko’s characteristic large and bold floral prints. The flowers bloom in celebration of Marimekko’s 70th anniversary, and the seeds represent the growth of bold Marimekko flowers in the years to come. Lennokki (model airplane) is an airier version of the Liito pattern.
