Tirsat Unikko
The Tirsat sweatpants are made of cotton French terry and they feature the Unikko flower detail print at the hip. The trousers have a wide elastic waistband and drawstring at the waist. There are slanted pockets at the sides and a patch pocket in the back. The trouser legs have ribbing at the cuffs.
Marimekko’s famous pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.
